Established under acacia canopy in the Lamai Wedge, Nyasi Tented Camp occupies a position in the northern Serengeti that tracks the Great Migration's approach to the Mara River. The camp sets six tented rooms and one two-tent family suite beneath shade; each has en-suite bath with twin vanity and flush toilet, and a verandah that opens to the acacias. Interiors draw on Tanzanian cultures and the surrounding landscape. All tents configure as twin or king; stretcher beds fit when needed. The family suite links two en-suite tents via a lounge tent; each bedroom closes independently.
Every booking includes a dedicated guide and open safari vehicle for the duration of the stay. Game drives depart on no fixed schedule. From July through October the northern Serengeti herds mass at the Mara River banks; crossings unfold at multiple points, sometimes several times daily, as wildebeest and zebra plunge into crocodile-patrolled water. Rangers position vehicles according to herd movement that morning. Full-day safaris run on request. Hot-air balloon flights lift at dawn for an additional fee; book ahead.
Meals serve family-style at shared tables or al fresco under canvas when weather permits. Breakfast lays out fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereals, and cooked options. Picnic hampers pack for all-day drives. Sundowner boxes carry drinks and snacks for afternoon game viewing. The camp has complimentary laundry, round-the-clock security, and Wi-Fi in rooms.
