Nyikani Central Serengeti Camp

Nyikani Camp occupies a permanent site on Banagi Hill in Central Serengeti, inside Tanzania's Serengeti National Park, twenty minutes by road from Seronera Airstrip. The camp underwent a full rebuild, completed in July 2024, which brought solar-heated running water showers to every ensuite bathroom. Each tent also has a flush toilet, double washbasins, a safe, a writing desk, and a bathrobe. A butler delivers morning coffee and tea before you leave for a drive.

Fourteen tents are spread fifteen to twenty metres apart, giving each a degree of privacy. Configurations cover most group sizes: double and twin tents with two beds pushed together, a single tent arranged the same way, triple tents that can be set as a king plus a twin or three singles, and a two-bedroom family unit with a shared living area and two separate full bathrooms.

The Seronera area of Central Serengeti holds wildlife year-round, independent of the seasonal migration moving north or south. Wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle cross the short-grass plains in search of water and grazing, and the park supports the full range of large predators. Game drives go out from the camp; guided game walks and hot air balloon flights over the plains can be arranged. The bar, restaurant, and barbeque facilities handle meals and evenings on site, with halaal and kosher options available on request.
