O Bona Moremi

O Bona Moremi sits on the line where Moremi Game Reserve meets the Khwai Wildlife Concession, so the camp draws on two adjoining wildlife areas without needing a long transfer between them. The surrounding landscape holds large predators — lion, leopard and cheetah — alongside elephant and buffalo in quantity, wild dog, hippo, and a full spread of plains species. Activities run both on land and on the water.

Directly outside Moremi's north gate is the village of Khwai, a community that has lived alongside the reserve for generations. Guests can spend time there, which adds a different dimension to a stay that might otherwise be entirely focused on wildlife.

The camp runs entirely on solar power. Accommodation is in Meru tents, each with a patio fitted with safari chairs, twin beds and full linen, side tables, generous storage space, and an en-suite bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. Tea and coffee are laid on in the tents. The communal area includes a bar and a wildlife library.

The nearest airstrip is five kilometres from camp. Road transfers from Maun take approximately three and a half hours. Laundry service is available, and the camp accepts credit cards.
