Old Palace Resort
Old Palace Resort is a property in the Sahl Hasheesh compound on Egypt's Red Sea coast, 18 kilometres south of Hurghada airport and 20 minutes' drive from the city centre. The resort sits behind red desert mountains, walking distance from Sahl Hasheesh Old Town, and on a 12-kilometre promenade linking beach areas along the coast. A 200-metre sandy beach provides access to the Red Sea.
Six categories of accommodation range from 37 to 68 m², all with private terrace or patio. Standard rooms measure 37 m² and face the garden. Superior rooms, also 37 m², overlook the pool or offer side views of the sea. Deluxe rooms, at 47 m², open directly onto the Olympic pool and the beach; all units command sea views. Family chalets span 53 m² with a living corner, private patio, and proximity to a heated pool; pets are permitted. Junior suites occupy 53 m² with separate living and dining areas and terraces overlooking the main pool, sea, patio, or garden. Grand suites measure 68 m² and comprise a bedroom with whirlpool bath, living room, dining area, and guest toilet facing the garden. Deluxe suites, also 68 m², hold the same layout with sea views.
Three restaurants serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner; three bars operate on site. A spa, health club, gym, outdoor heated pool, and Jacuzzi are available. A diving centre runs courses and guided dives on the Red Sea reef. Wireless internet is provided in the lobby.
