Omatozu Safari Camp

Omatozu is a game farm on the B1, one hundred kilometres north of Windhoek, and its main use is as a stop-over at the start or end of a Namibia trip. Access is straightforward — the main road runs past the gate — and the property holds fourteen species of game, giraffe among them, across land you can cover on foot or by self-drive.

There are three walk-in canvas tents, each air-conditioned and en-suite. Tent one has a king-size double bed; tent two takes a queen double and a single; tent three fits four single beds. All three have cotton linen, a hair dryer, a small safe, and a verandah. Laundry is available on request. Four campsites sit separately, each with its own ablution block, lights, and a two-hundred-and-twenty-volt power point, with firewood available to buy on site.

Dinner and breakfast are served in the lounge and entertainment area, which looks out over a seasonal farm dam. Campers can use the bar and order meals in advance. The small swimming pool is open to all guests, and walking routes run through the property alongside the self-drive game tracks.

The farm is malaria-free, and credit cards are accepted.
