Omogolo Hideaways

Omogolo covers sixteen hundred hectares where the land meets the southern fringe of the Okavango Delta, in Botswana's North-West District. The property holds three separate self-catering houses — Mangwane, Motswiri, and Valley Hideaway — each placed at least one kilometre from the others, and each positioned over its own natural waterhole. Elephant, birds, and other wildlife come to drink at these pans; water is pumped in during the dry months to keep them active. You watch from the veranda.

Mangwane has two guest bedrooms, each sleeping two, with outdoor showers and bush views. Motswiri sits on a large elevated deck shaded by a leadwood tree, which also provides nesting for buffalo weavers, red-headed weavers, and blue waxbills. Valley Hideaway runs along an old fossil river channel, where a line of smaller waterholes sits in front of the deck. All three houses have fully equipped kitchens, a lounge, a fireplace, mosquito nets, and a private pool.

Accommodation is self-catering as standard, but a private chef can be arranged on request. Additional activities include guided walks with San guides, game drives, scenic helicopter flights, and a mokoro trip into the Okavango Delta via helicopter from Maun or the property. An on-site spa operates on the decks.

The property is malaria-free. Staff speak English, Afrikaans, and German. An airport shuttle is available.
