Panari Resort sits on the Nyeri-Nyahururu road in the centre of Nyahururu, two and a half hours from Nairobi and an hour from Mount Kenya, on the route used by traffic moving between Mount Kenya and Samburu. The resort has one hundred rooms across three categories: courtyard rooms in the main building, cottage rooms set apart from it, and executive villas in the resort's gardens.

Courtyard rooms are interconnected family rooms, furnished with polished wood and decorated with portraits of explorer Joseph Thomson and the wildlife associated with the region. They face the children's play area, and you can hear the Thompson Falls from the balcony. Cottage rooms look over the Ewaso Nyiro river toward Marmanet Forest; each has a stone fireplace for the cold Laikipia evenings and is reached by golf cart. The villas have a kitchenette, living room, fireplace, and balcony.

The resort's watering hole draws elephants. Guided activities include walks and hikes in Marmanet Forest, visits to nearby hippo pools, picnics at Lake Olbolosat, and game drives at Solio Ranch, where rhino tracking is among the options. On site there is a solar-heated indoor pool, spa, gym, archery, cycling, horse riding, and quad biking. The property is eco-friendly and accepts guests with disabilities. Both English and Swahili are spoken throughout.
