Hamilton Island Golf Club

The course sits on Dent Island, a short trip from Hamilton Island by launch, and is the sole championship island course in the country. Peter Thomson, the champion golfer, laid out the par-71 layout across terrain with wide views of the Coral Sea from several holes. Back at the clubhouse, a relaxed restaurant and bar serves food and drinks, suited to a long lunch or a quick refreshment between rounds. The setting, on a separate island reached by boat, makes it distinct from a typical resort course.
