Rieser Lake Achensee Resort

Set on the shore of Lake Achensee in Pertisau, Tyrol, Rieser – Achensee Resort distributes 14 suite categories across terraced grounds that descend toward Austria's largest alpine lake. The Bärenkopf Suites occupy the newest wing, built from high-grade timber with sliding glass that opens onto south-facing terraces. Suite Bärenkopf measures 50 m² for two; Family Suite Bärenkopf extends to 60 m² with a separate children's room; Family Spa Suite Bärenkopf spans 93 m² and encloses a private Finnish sauna within its footprint. The Achensee SkyLoft stands alone: 190 m² of interior wrapped by a 115 m² terrace holding an infinity-edge pool, outdoor lounge, and lakefront sauna. Three master bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, open off a single-volume living room fitted with a wine refrigerator and open kitchen.

The SeeSpa occupies a tiered lakeside pavilion anchored by an organic bathing pond, panoramic relaxation rooms, and a hammam. Spa protocols centre on Tyrolean stone oil, extracted from shale 1,500 metres above Achensee and processed for massage and fango wraps. The treatment menu lists Skinfusor high-frequency facial technology, Ayurvedic Abhyanga full-body massage, and manual lymphatic drainage. A plunge pool notched into the bathing pond operates year-round. The Sunseit Pool measures 18 by 5 metres. Head chef Manfred Freund runs the kitchen on root-to-leaf and nose-to-tail principles, sourcing ingredients from the family farm.
