Rosewood Yangon

Rosewood Yangon occupies the former New Law Courts, a 1927 building in Kyauktada, the historic centre of the city. The conversion kept the high ceilings and the heavy structure intact, and the building now holds two hundred and five rooms across standard guestrooms, suites, and larger residences with one or two bedrooms.

Most rooms have a patio or balcony. Depending on which side of the building you are on, you look out over the Yangon River or down into landscaped internal courtyards — the old open spaces of the law courts, now planted and quiet.

The hotel has three dining venues: NOVA, a European brasserie; the Living Room and Patisserie; and the CourtRoom, a bar and cigar lounge that takes its name from the building's original use. A rooftop bar called Y and a Chinese restaurant were planned as later additions.

Recreational facilities include a rooftop infinity pool, a fitness studio, and a spa. A classic barber shop is also on the premises.

Kyauktada sits within the colonial-era downtown grid, so the waterfront and the city's central commercial streets are walkable from the hotel entrance.
