SANA Gorilla Rafting

SANA Gorilla Rafting puts you on the Birira River in Rukungiri, western Uganda, running through forest on the edge of Bwindi. The Birira is not the Nile — it is a jungle river, smaller and more contained than the well-known eastern Uganda routes, with dense forest on both banks.

Every trip includes transport, safety gear, a local lunch, and photographs. Multi-day itineraries add time with local farmers along the route.

Kayaks are available alongside rafts, so paddlers who want an independent line through the water rather than a shared boat have that option.
