Sand Rose Boutique Guesthouse
Windhoek guesthouse near the airport, with rooms, pool, and daily breakfast
Sandrose Bed and Breakfast is set in Klein Windhoek, close to the centre of town and within easy reach of the airport. Rooms come in double, single, and twin configurations, each en-suite with a mini fridge, coffee station, TV, and free Wi-Fi. A continental buffet is served each morning, and depending on availability, guests can try Namibia's cured meats. It is a compact stay. The pool sits to one side of the property, with a water feature that keeps it separate from any street noise, and underwater lighting changes its character after dark. Daily housekeeping is included, and the property runs a towel-linen programme in response to Namibia's periodic drought conditions. Above Windhoek and its Klein Windhoek suburb rises a hill that carries the National Botanical Garden of Namibia, proclaimed a conservation area in 1969, with the National Botanical Research Institute added on the site above the garden in 1990. Guests looking for a short walk beyond the pool and breakfast room have that hillside garden as a nearby option, a rare patch of open ground in a capital otherwise built up around it.
