Sango Safari Camp

Sango Safari Camp sits on the bank of the Khwai River where the Khwai concession meets the boundary of Moremi Game Reserve. Because the river forms a natural border between the two areas rather than a fence, animals move freely between them — which means the camp has access to two substantial wildlife areas from a single, small base.

The camp holds six en-suite meru tents, taking a maximum of twelve guests. Each tent has a deck or verandah looking onto the river, hand-crafted furnishings, and an open-air shower. The design follows the classic tented camp format: canvas walls, mosquito nets, and a fan rather than air conditioning, alongside a communal dining area, bar, and a pool.

Activities run in both directions from camp. Open-vehicle game drives go into Moremi and into the Khwai concession, and night drives cover the concession after dark. Mokoro trips — the traditional dugout canoe of the Okavango — run from camp on the Khwai River itself. Guided walks are also available, as is time at the game viewing hide. A cultural tour into the village of Khwai, which sits on the camp's doorstep, gives a different angle on the area.

The camp also offers a complimentary airport shuttle and complimentary laundry service.
