Sayari Camp sits on a hillside in the northern Serengeti near Kogatende, close to the Mara River and several crossing points — which puts you near the centre of the wildebeest migration when the herds push north into the Lamai Wedge. The camp runs fifteen tented suites, fourteen of them doubles or twins and one a two-bedroom family suite for two adults and up to three children under sixteen. The suites are built on raised platforms with mahogany floors and private verandas; the family suite adds a separate children's room linked to the main bedroom, which has a king-sized bed, walk-in shower, and a freestanding bathtub that looks out over the northern plains.
Two separate dining and lounge areas mean the camp rarely feels crowded. The infinity pool is framed by natural rock formations and faces the same plains view. In the evenings there is a library and a fireplace.
Guides take open-sided vehicles out on morning and evening game drives; night drives run after dark. Walking safaris go out on foot with an armed guide. For photographers, a dedicated vehicle with drop-down sides, beanbag rests, and swivel seats is available. Hot-air balloon flights over the Serengeti can be arranged at an additional cost, as can visits to Merenga village to meet the Kuria community and collect produce from the vegetable gardens Asilia supports there.
Flights into the northern Serengeti land at Kogatende airstrip; the camp provides a complimentary airport transfer.
