Sedia Hotel

The Sedia Hotel sits on the bank of the Thamalakane River in Maun, inside a property of mature riverine woodland — jacaranda, shady canopy trees, dense undergrowth — that holds a notable number of bird species year-round. Most guests arrive here as a stopover before or after a safari in the Okavango Delta or Moremi Game Reserve, and the hotel is built around that transit logic: parking close to every room, an activity desk that can book Delta day-trips, mokoro excursions, scenic flights, and river cruises, and a five-minute drive to Maun International Airport.

The forty rooms split between twenty-four standard rooms and a set of cottages. Standard rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, ceiling fan, king-size bed, LCD television with satellite channels, fridge, and a tea and coffee station. The cottage units sleep families or small groups, with two or three bedrooms, a small kitchen with fridge and sink, lounge with flat-screen television, and air conditioning throughout. Camping is also available at the far end of the property along the river, with shared ablutions and shaded washing facilities.

The restaurant serves à la carte and buffet on a decked terrace that overlooks the large pool. The pool itself sits on a raised teak deck under a jacaranda tree. A spa is on site, along with a conference centre, secure parking, and a generator for power continuity. Wi-Fi is complimentary in rooms and public areas.
