Serengeti Sametu Camp

Serengeti Sametu Camp stands beside the Ngarenanyuki River in the Central Serengeti, close to the Seronera River — one of the most reliable wildlife-viewing corridors in the park. Wildebeest, zebra, antelope, and elephant graze near the suites during the day; lion and cheetah tend to appear before dawn and after dark.

The camp holds eighteen safari suites across four room types. Executive double and twin tents each run to nearly sixty square metres, with a marble-topped vanity, separate shower, private flush toilet, and a sitting area furnished with hand-carved solid wood pieces. The Luxury Pavilion adds a bathtub, dual showers, a sofa, and a writing desk. The Family Room connects two bedrooms — one king bed, one with two twin beds — each with its own en suite bathroom and a shared lounge between them. All suites have a private balcony or verandah, a fireplace, mosquito nets, and complimentary wi-fi.

The camp has a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool with views over the savannah, and a conference room. Dining draws on locally sourced ingredients and covers both Tanzanian and international dishes; bush breakfasts and dinners can be arranged in the field. Activities include open-vehicle game drives, hot-air balloon safaris arranged on request, sundowners, and visits to a Maasai boma. The camp operates in English and Swahili, and an airport shuttle is available.
