Serengeti Tortilis Camp stands inside the central Serengeti National Park, near Seronera — not on the park boundary, but within it, which means game is close from the moment you arrive. Lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, wildebeest, and zebra all move through this part of the park, and the Seronera area sits at the convergence of the northern and southern migration routes.

The tents are large and properly fitted out: en-suite bathroom, hot and cold water, power sockets, Wi-Fi, and a radio call system connected to camp staff. Meals are served in a dedicated mess tent; the kitchen runs to full board, and dinner under the open sky is an option the camp arranges for guests. There is a stocked bar and a lounge area with reference books and sofas for the hours between drives.

Game drives go out in the early morning and late afternoon, both in open Toyota Landcruisers with driver-guides who know the Seronera circuit well. The camp also organises hot-air balloon flights over the plains at dawn — you book these separately and launch before sunrise. Guided bush walks are available for those who want to cover ground on foot with an armed ranger.

The nearest international gateway is Kilimanjaro International Airport, from which guests transfer by road or light aircraft to the Seronera area. Tortilis is a family-owned Tanzanian company with camps also in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro.
