Settha Palace is a French colonial building from 1932, restored and reopened in 1999, sitting in the centre of Vientiane. The Mekong River, the Lao National Museum, Wat Si Saket temple, Thatluang Stupa, and the Namphu Fountain are all close enough to reach on foot from the front door.

The hotel holds twenty-two rooms and three suites. All rooms have rosewood four-poster beds and rosewood armoires, wood floors, marble bathrooms with rainfall showerheads, satellite television, and Wi-Fi. Rooms look out over either the garden or the pool. Suites add living and dining areas; the larger suites have these as separate rooms.

For food, La Belle Epoque serves French cuisine inside the main building, alongside a panelled bar and a formal lounge. The Sidewalk Café is an open-air terrace offering Asian and international dishes. There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, a spa, and a business centre with internet and fax services. There is no fitness centre.

Wattai International Airport is about ten minutes away by road. The Thadeua border crossing into Thailand is around twenty-five minutes in the same direction. Parking and breakfast are included in the stay.
