Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu stands on Binjiang East Road, a thirty-six-floor building on the north bank of the Jinjiang River in the centre of the city. The Lobby Lounge faces the river through full-height glass walls; the view takes in Anshun Bridge and Hejiang Pavilion, both within a ten-minute walk. Taikoo Li, IFS, and Wangjiang Park are all reachable on foot or by short taxi ride.

The hotel holds five hundred and ninety-three rooms and suites, all over forty-two square metres, and twenty-six serviced apartments for longer stays. The largest suite runs to two hundred and seventy-six square metres. Three restaurants cover the main dining options: Hibiscus Café Z operates nine open kitchens for a broad international spread; Shang Palace runs a Sichuan menu that works from classical technique; and the Lobby Lounge handles lighter meals and drinks with the river in view.

Conference space totals nearly four thousand five hundred square metres, anchored by a Grand Ballroom of two thousand one hundred square metres with a ceiling just under nine metres high. Fifteen additional function rooms and a studio handle smaller meetings and events.

The spa has eleven treatment rooms, four of them doubles. The fitness facilities include a twenty-five-metre heated outdoor pool, a private yoga studio, and an outdoor tennis court. Shuangliu International Airport is approximately thirty minutes away by road.
