Shark Cage Diving

Shark cage diving at Kleinbaai harbour

The shark cage diving experience takes place in the waters near Dyer Island, accessed from Kleinbaai harbour. Guests board boats daily to observe or enter submerged cages where great white sharks are attracted close by bait. No prior diving skills are necessary, and all diving gear is provided on the boat. Participants enter the cage when sharks are nearby and can watch the animals swim past within metres. Alternatively, guests may remain on the boat’s upper deck for surface viewing, which offers a clear perspective of the sharks without entering the water. This activity is separate from Grootbos’s standard offerings.
