Motorboat fishing across the Okavango's channels and lagoons
Skip to product information
Fishing at Shinde runs most of the year, closed only in January and February. Guides take guests out by motorboat into the delta's channels and lagoons, searching out tilapia, African pike, sharp-toothed catfish and tigerfish. Bream fishing is best between May and September, while tigerfish are most active from September through to mid-November. All fishing here is catch-and-release. Beyond the sport itself, the boat trips move through papyrus-lined waterways and open floodplains, giving a close view of the delta's water channels along the way.
