Walking Safari
On foot through the Okavango's islands and floodplains
Skip to product information
A guided bush walk from Shinde, on foot rather than by vehicle, for a closer read of the delta's mix of channels, floodplains and islands. Guides point out red lechwe bounding through marshy ground, a wide range of birdlife, and signs of predators and big game moving through the area. No special training or experience is required, and it is considered by many the most traditional way to encounter this landscape. Pace and distance are set by the guide, according to what the terrain and wildlife allow that day.
