Singita Balloon Safari

A hot air balloon lifts off at sunrise, run by Serengeti Balloon Safaris, Singita's regional partner. Balloons hold eight, twelve or sixteen passengers, with the larger sizes available on request. Flights last around one hour, depending on wind, drifting low over grassland and acacia forest before rising to about 1,000 feet for a wider view of the reserve. Children over seven are welcome, with no upper age limit, though guests must be reasonably mobile. Pilots hold commercial licenses under Tanzanian Civil Aviation Authority regulation. Booking ahead through Singita reservations is recommended, though arrangements can sometimes be made on arrival.
