Community Visit

Guests travel beyond the lodge to visit villages bordering the Grumeti reserve, home to communities working with the Grumeti Fund's outreach programme. Across twenty-one villages, this initiative partners with residents on schooling, managing natural resources, building local enterprise and improving access to water. The visit gives guests a direct look at how these projects work in practice, beyond any lodge-based account of them. It's arranged through Singita as part of the lodge's broader commitment to the surrounding communities, and offers a grounded counterpoint to the game drives and wildlife-focused activities that fill the rest of a stay at Sasakwa.
