Singita Balloon Safari
Silent flight over the Serengeti's grasslands and wildlife
Skip to product information
A chartered hot air balloon lifts guests above the Grumeti reserve at dawn, drifting low over acacia forest and open grassland before climbing to around 1,000 feet, where the scale of the Serengeti becomes clear. There is no engine noise, just the occasional hiss of the burner, so animals below go undisturbed and photographs come without motion blur. The route depends on the wind, and the pilot adjusts altitude to bring the balloon close to herds of grazing wildlife when possible. It suits anyone wanting a different angle on the landscape, away from the dust and rumble of a vehicle.
