Siringit Migration Camp - Kogatende, Northern Serengeti

Siringit Migration Camp is a seasonal tented camp inside Serengeti National Park that physically relocates to follow the wildebeest migration. In the northern Serengeti near Kogatende — where the herds cross the Mara River — the camp runs ten tents. In the southern Serengeti, timed to the calving season, it operates eight. The camp moves between these two positions each year, placing guests close to whichever phase of the migration is under way.

The tents are built in a Bedouin canvas style and raised on platforms, giving a wide view across the surrounding plains. Each tent sleeps two adults and has a private bathroom with twin basins, on-demand hot water, and a flush toilet. One interconnected family tent takes two adults and two children. The canvas panels were hand-stitched in Tanzania from a combination of recycled and locally sourced materials; the camp first opened in August 2021.

Because the entire structure is dismantled and re-erected each season rather than built as a permanent installation, it leaves no fixed foundations behind when it moves. Guests reach the northern camp via Kogatende airstrip in the Mara Region of Tanzania.
