Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta
The Sofitel sits in Recoleta, the neighbourhood of neoclassical facades and tree-lined streets that runs north from the city centre. Patio Bullrich shopping mall is directly opposite the entrance, and Avenida Alvear — the city's main address for international luxury retail — is a short walk away. The neighbourhood itself is compact enough to cover on foot.
The hotel holds one hundred and seventy-five rooms, including sixteen suites. All rooms are fitted with Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a desk, and each looks out over either the city or the hotel gardens. The design throughout is contemporary.
On the ground floor, the Brick Kitchen handles the main dining, the Brick Bar serves drinks, and La Patisserie covers coffee and pastries. The hotel also has a wine cellar, which can be used for tastings and private dining. A heated indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre sit within the building, so neither is dependent on the weather.
Function rooms are available for meetings and events. The hotel is within walking distance of the Recoleta Cemetery — one of the city's most visited sites — and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, both of which are a few blocks from the front door.
