Soroi Private Wing

Mahogany furniture anchors each of the twelve tents at Soroi Private Wing, which sits on the bank of the Olare Orok River in the Masai Mara. Six tents face the river and a permanent hippo pool below; four look into forest; two family tents accommodate four guests each with a king-size bed and two singles. All tents measure roughly the same footprint and include en-suite bathrooms with showers, locally sourced organic soaps, mosquito nets, and extended verandas with outdoor sofas. The Hippo Bar overlooks the pool.

Game drives depart in custom-built four-by-four vehicles led by guides certified by the Kenya Professional Guides Association. Rangers track lions, elephants, and cheetahs across the reserve. Guided bush walks, accompanied by an armed ranger, take place outside the reserve boundary and focus on smaller fauna, animal tracks, and plant identification. Hot-air balloon safaris lift before dawn; the flight lasts one hour and ends with a champagne breakfast on landing. Bush dinners are set away from the main tent under lanterns. Hippo-pool breakfasts take place on a dedicated deck above the river. Sundowner drinks—spirits, wine, beer, and canapés—are served at a location reached during afternoon drives.

The camp runs on solar power around the clock. Laundry service is complimentary. Nikon camera equipment is available for rent through the Soroi Collection photography programme. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are in place. Cultural visits to a Maasai village are arranged by guides; proceeds support the local community.
