Sunset Bush Camp

Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve holds Sunset Bush Camp, roughly 100 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport and reached by 10 km of gravel road unsuited to low-clearance cars. The reserve is malaria-free and home to the Big Five, alongside more than 450 recorded bird species. Four room types share the fence line and bush around them. Family Tents sleep up to four across a queen bed and two singles, each with its own detached bathroom, a communal kitchen, and a private boma with a braai fireplace. Safari Tents suit couples, with an electric blanket against cool nights and an open kitchenette on the patio. Chalets add a solid roof and a double bunk for small groups. The Cottage is smaller still, a 3x3 metre room with a double bed and en-suite bath and shower, built for two. Power runs off a 50kW solar system, with air-conditioners and geysers cycled off to manage load. A pool deck looks over the bushveld. Guided walks and game drives leave from camp, and rangers track rhino on foot when conditions allow. There is no bar scene here, no music after dark. You can hear the bush settle in at night, uninterrupted.
