Wildlife here does not depend on the migration; resident herds, the Big Five and the Nocturnal Five live around the lodge year-round, in a private sanctuary bordering the Serengeti with reach into the Maasai Mara. Game drives run in open vehicles, off-road, day and night, guided by experienced trackers, with private vehicles available for exclusive use. Because the sanctuary is reserved for lodge guests, drives avoid the crowds of shared parks. Nature walks and bird watching fill the gaps between drives, and cultural visits to a local Maasai community round out the itinerary. Guide numbers stay small, keeping each outing personal.
