Set among fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya on the 90,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Tambarare Camp holds ten tented suites and one private villa. Each suite measures 57 m² and has a private veranda overlooking the grassy plains, a super-king bed, teak floors, billowing white curtains, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and double basin. The villa comprises two bedrooms, an indoor and outdoor lounge and dining area, a bar, a private deck, and a boma.

The main tent includes sofas and chairs upholstered in richly patterned fabrics, while the adjacent circular bar tent overlooks the boma. A restaurant serves meals prepared with ingredients from a vertical garden maintained by the camp's chefs; the property runs entirely on solar power. You can hear wildlife from the veranda at dawn.

Guided game drives depart twice daily across the conservancy, home to the Big Five and over 130 black rhino. Night drives reveal aardvark, white-tailed mongoose, and bat-eared fox. Guests can visit the protected enclosure housing the last two northern white rhino on earth, a mother and daughter named Najin and Fatu. Lion tracking accompanies rangers as they monitor the conservancy's lion population. Guided bush walks focus on smaller species and track detail. Visits to surrounding communities show the conservancy's work in education and livestock enterprise. Laundry service, mini-bar, and wireless internet are complimentary.
