Dune Dinners
Open-air dinner on a red Kalahari dune
Guests dine on top of one of Tswalu's sand dunes as the sun drops behind the Korannaberg mountains. Food comes off a wood-fired grill, built around seasonal, local ingredients, and the meal unfolds under lantern light once darkness sets in. There is no town glow to compete with, so the Kalahari sky fills with stars overhead. Beyond the lanterns and the fire, the surrounding bush stays quiet. It's arranged for guests staying at Tarkuni and the other Tswalu camps, and, being outdoors, depends on the weather cooperating.
