Horseback Riding

Riding here means covering ground at pace, not walking a lead line. Tswalu restricts this activity to intermediate and advanced riders, since horses move at trot and canter across open veld and riders must handle their mount without assistance. A qualified guide leads each outing, with a second rider following behind; both carry radios and first-aid supplies. A hundred-kilogram weight limit applies. Trail saddles are standard issue, though English saddles can be arranged on request. The result is a quieter, ground-level way to cross the reserve, away from vehicle tracks and engine noise.
