The Tswalu Foundation

The Tswalu Foundation supports ecological research across the reserve, building a body of knowledge on the fauna, flora and habitat of the southern Kalahari. Findings feed directly into conservation management decisions and are shared freely with neighbouring landowners, extending their reach beyond Tswalu's boundaries. During a stay at Tarkuni, guests can meet researchers at work in the field, from those tracking well-known species to specialists studying more obscure ones. It is a chance to see conservation science happen in real time, not as a display but as ongoing, working research.
