Set at the foot of the historic Thaba Bosiu Fortress, 24 kilometres northeast of Maseru, Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village is a working heritage site that houses guests in traditional thatched-roof rondavels. The village demonstrates Basotho settlement patterns through replicas of 16th-century San huts and 18th-century Basotho homesteads arranged by historical social hierarchy. Single, double, and family rooms occupy circular rondavels with en-suite bathrooms, cable television, fridges, and electrical outlets. Family rooms accommodate two adults and one child under ten years.

The village programmes include traditional Mohobelo stick dancing, ancestral storytelling inside rondavels around a central hearth, and cultural performances featuring Basotho music. Sound therapy sessions use traditional techniques. The on-site restaurant serves Basotho cuisine prepared with farm-to-table ingredients. A spa combines modern treatments with mountain-sourced ingredients. Guided cultural tours trace the founding of the Basotho nation under King Moshoeshoe I, who unified the region in the 18th century. Self-guided walks and cycling routes extend through the surrounding landscape. The site includes a chapel, bar, business centre, and secure parking. Wireless internet is available in public areas.
