The Johnstown Estate

Designed by Ventura Design in blue and grey velvet, linen, and silk, 128 rooms and lodges open onto 120 acres of parkland in Enfield, County Meath. The Johnstown Estate is an 18th-century Georgian manor house, independently owned, with accommodation spanning deluxe rooms, junior suites, and two-bedroom self-catering lodges. Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin rooms on the ground and first floors feature king or twin beds, 49-inch televisions, Voya bath products, separate shower and bath, and complimentary wireless internet. Family Rooms hold a king bed and two singles. Junior Suites pair a separate living room with full-length windows and a bedroom with king bed, walk-in shower, and freestanding bath.

The Lady Margaret, the only suite in the original manor, includes a bedroom, bathroom with roll-top slipper tub and double sinks, and a living room with two three-seater sofas, open fireplace, and walnut drinks cabinet. Executive Self-Catering Lodges feature two bedrooms, fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washer-dryer, and private terrace. A 20-metre indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym anchor the leisure centre. The award-winning spa includes a thermal suite and rooftop experience. Fire & Salt serves contemporary fine dining; The Coach House Brasserie offers relaxed meals. Parterre, the garden cocktail bar, operates beneath a retractable roof. Forest trails wind through woodland along the River Blackwater. Dublin lies 35 minutes east.
