The Peninsula Hong Kong

The Peninsula Hong Kong occupies the southern end of Tsim Sha Tsui, looking out across Victoria Harbour to Hong Kong Island. You can stay in the original 1928 building — which still stands — or in the thirty-storey tower that rises above it, where the upper rooms look over the harbour and the city skyline.

The hotel has three hundred rooms and runs eight restaurants under one roof. Spring Moon serves Cantonese food; Gaddi's is French; Felix handles contemporary international cooking; and the Lobby, at ground level beneath high ceilings and pale columns, serves afternoon tea — a fixture in the hotel's week and, for many visitors, in their Hong Kong itinerary. The ground and first floors hold the Peninsula Shopping Arcade, lined with luxury retail boutiques.

The spa offers personalised treatments. The fitness centre is fully equipped. The indoor pool sits on the eighth floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the city.

The hotel keeps a fleet of Rolls-Royce cars finished in a shade called Peninsula green, available for guests to hire. Chek Lap Kok airport is roughly an hour away by road.
