The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch sits at the base of Beaver Creek ski area in Colorado's Vail Valley, with direct ski-in, ski-out access to two thousand and eighty-two acres of terrain. Vail Mountain is a short drive away. In winter, naturalist guides lead daily snowshoe hikes included in the resort fee; snowmobiling is also available. In summer, the surrounding White River National Forest opens up hiking trails at all levels, including routes to fourteen-thousand-foot peaks, and the valley offers fly fishing, mountain biking, road cycling, and access to golf courses — including the Red Sky Golf Club's two courses, designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman.

The spa covers twenty-one thousand square feet and includes a stone-lined grotto, Himalayan salt wall dry sauna, steam rooms, cold plunge, and a year-round outdoor heated pool. The fitness centre runs around the clock and offers daily yoga, Pilates, and sound bowl classes.

Six dining outlets cover the ground floor and mountainside terrace: a signature restaurant using local ingredients, a Japanese sushi bar called Sakaba, a gastropub with a steakhouse and Mexican menu, a three-storey Great Room with a stone fireplace, an outdoor bar and grill with live music, and a cocktail bar. The Club Lounge, available to guests booking Club-level rooms, adds a private concierge and continuous food and drink service through the day.

Rooms and suites use wood accents and mountain materials; three-bedroom penthouses are also available. The hotel is twenty-eight miles from Eagle County Regional Airport.
