The Ritz-Carlton, Masai Mara sits inside the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, set among trees within the reserve boundary — not on its edge. The camp holds twenty suites, each with a private deck, a plunge pool, and a dedicated butler. The suites are designed to integrate with the surrounding landscape, and the architecture is built to a sustainable brief.
The Masai Mara is one of the few places where you can watch the Great Migration move through the reserve, and the camp is positioned to give access to it. Game drives run from the camp into the reserve, where lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, and the migrating wildebeest herds all move through the same land the suites overlook.
The camp has a Photography Studio where guests can work on images from the field — useful when a morning drive produces material worth processing carefully. The Map Room serves as an orientation and briefing space. The kitchen draws on local produce and is supported by a wine cellar. Wellness treatments use methods rooted in local traditions.
The camp is reached via light aircraft to the Masai Mara airstrips, followed by a short road transfer into the reserve.
