Thorntree House and Tented Camp
Thorn Tree sits on the main road between Livingstone town and Victoria Falls, a short walk from the gate to the Falls road. The property centres on a large natal mahogany tree, beneath which the shared kitchen, dining room, and lounge are arranged.
Four chalets have twin beds, mosquito screening, and power, sharing a communal ablution block with hot showers and flush toilets. Four tented chalets offer the same two-bed layout with bedding included, also using the shared facilities. Three bush tents sit further into the property with their own beds and showers for more privacy. A cottage and a twin room complete the accommodation, all with access to the common areas.
The site has two swimming pools, an outdoor bar, a children's sand pit and play area, and space for campfires. A resident chef works in the shared kitchen. Wi-Fi is available throughout.
A crocodile farm across the road draws weaver birds to the property during the day. After dark, hippos come up from the river to feed on the grass, and in the dry season buffalo and elephant also move through the grounds. The birdlife runs from early morning until dusk.
