Tintswalo Summer House

Tintswalo Summer House sits on Glen Road in Glencairn, a quiet seaside suburb on the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula, about forty minutes from central Cape Town. The building is a restored manor and holds twelve rooms across four categories: Petite rooms suited to solo travellers or shorter stays, Luxury and Deluxe suites with more space, and Honeymoon suites designed for couples. Each room carries a colour-themed interior — the design runs through the whole property rather than being confined to individual floors or wings.

The on-site Summer House Eatery serves lunch and dinner from a terrace with sea views over False Bay, and an indoor dining room for when the wind picks up. The hotel also has a pool and pool deck, a bar, room service, laundry, and a backup generator. Parking is on the property.

Glencairn itself gives you direct access to the beach on foot. Off-site, the area supports hiking on the mountain slopes behind the village, cycling along the coast road, snorkelling, boating, and shark cage diving further along the peninsula. The Glencairn train station is close, putting the station on the southern Metrorail line within walking distance — a practical alternative to driving into Cape Town or along to Simonstown.
