Tipilikwani Mara Camp

Tipilikwani Mara Camp sits on the bank of the Talek River in Narok County, looking out over the open plains of the Maasai Mara. The camp holds twenty tented rooms, each with direct river frontage. Interiors use warm earth tones drawn from Maasai textile traditions — deep reds and ochres — and the family tents add a standalone bathtub alongside the shower. Beds are either king-size doubles or queen-size twins.

Game drives go out from camp into the Mara ecosystem, where lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino all move through the reserve. Guided game walks cover the same ground on foot. The camp also runs cultural visits to Maasai communities in the surrounding area — the Maasai have herded and farmed this landscape for generations and continue to do so.

Between June and October, the wildebeest and zebra of the Great Migration cross from the Serengeti into the Maasai Mara, and the Talek River corridor is one of the routes they use. The camp's riverfront position puts you close to that movement without any additional transfer.

On site there is a pool, a spa offering massages, a bar, and a restaurant. The kitchen accommodates vegetarian diets. Room service runs around the clock, and the camp has twenty-four-hour security. English and Swahili are spoken throughout.
