Tlouwana Camp

Tlouwana Camp sits in Kasane on the edge of Chobe National Park, one of the highest concentrations of elephant in Africa. The name comes from the Setswana word for a young elephant — fitting, given that herds move through the area and past the on-site wildlife watering hole daily. The camp is owner-run and holds ten tented rooms across two configurations: double tents with king-size beds, and twin tents with two beds each. A family suite adds two single beds alongside the king. All tents are meru-style canvas on raised pine decking, each with an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower. Some look directly onto the watering hole; others face across the Lesoma Valley. Acacia and jackalberry trees stand between the tents.

Game drives into Chobe run three to five hours in custom four-wheel-drive vehicles, following the Chobe River through elephant herds and the wider park wildlife. Boat safaris on the river offer a different angle on the same animals — Chobe is one of the few parks where a boat safari is a practical, productive way to see game. Night drives, guided walks, and a game-viewing hide are also available on site.

The camp restaurant serves a mix of traditional and European food. There is a pool, a bar, and complimentary wi-fi throughout. Airport transfers are available, and the camp accepts credit cards.
