Toshari Lodge
Set on dolomite outcrops under mopane and white seringa trees, Toshari Lodge lies twenty minutes by road from the Andersson Gate entrance to Etosha National Park. Thirty-eight units spread across the property: twenty-two bush rooms, ten two-person bush chalets, four four-person chalets, and three five-person chalets. All hold en-suite showers, air conditioning, mosquito nets, safes, and tea and coffee stations. Bush chalets add private verandas, minibars, and fridges; family chalets include a double bed, two singles, and a sleeper couch. Three campsites offer interlocked vehicle stands, private solar-heated showers, flush toilets, braai facilities, and 220-volt outlets under shade trees. Campers may use lodge facilities.
The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch, and barbecued game meats at dinner; produce comes from the onsite vegetable garden. The bar stocks Namibian wines, gins, and beers. Three swimming pools occupy different areas of the grounds. Massage treatments run daily from seven in the morning until nine at night; advance booking is required. Guided full-day drives into Etosha depart after breakfast and return at sunset. Half-day morning drives are also available. A marked walking trail loops through the property. Guided visits to the Omapaha Himba village, twenty minutes away, can be arranged. The lodge runs entirely on solar power. Wireless internet is complimentary.
