Verney's Camp sits on a private concession of ten thousand hectares within Hwange National Park, on ground that sees little other visitor traffic. The camp is set in a natural amphitheatre edged by teak forest and opens directly onto a waterhole that draws Hwange's large elephant herds. You can watch them from the camp without leaving your chair.

Ten tented rooms make up the camp — eight double or twin rooms and two family tents that each sleep four. All have en suite shower, flush toilet, and double vanity. Each tent has a verandah, a lounge area, fan, safe, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Dressing gowns and pure cotton linen are standard. Rooms for guests with limited mobility are available.

Activities run twice daily: an early morning game drive and a sunset drive, each roughly three and a half hours long. Night drives, guided bush walks, and high tea are also on offer. A half-day cultural trip heads by game drive toward Hwange Main Camp, stopping at a local school, a rural village, and the Wild Dog Research Centre. Bird watching, natural history tours, and star gazing are part of the programme.

Meals are taken in a communal dining tent. An airport shuttle and private vehicle transfers can be arranged. The camp also holds a pool, a library, and a battery and device charging station.
