Victoria Falls River Lodge

Victoria Falls River Lodge stands on the bank of the Zambezi River inside Zambezi National Park — when the park was opened to private lodge development, this was the first lodge built within its boundaries. The Falls are close enough that their spray is visible on the horizon from the main lodge. Game moves through one hundred and fifty thousand acres of national park directly from the door.

The lodge holds twenty-seven rooms across several configurations. Nineteen tented suites — each one hundred and ten square metres, built in canvas, glass and wood — sit over the river on private decks with plunge pools and unobstructed river views. Family tents add an adjoining children's room. Six Island Treehouse Suites occupy Kandahar Island, a private island accessible only by boat, where each ninety-five-square-metre suite sits among the trees above the waterline; two of these are double-storey Starbed Suites with a rooftop sleeping platform. Two private villas — Hippo Creek and Rapids View — offer exclusive use for couples or families. A fifteen-minute boat ride from the main lodge, the separate Malachite camp provides six further tented suites with outdoor bathtubs and panoramic river views.

On-site activities include twice-daily game drives into the national park, guided bush walks, bird watching, catch-and-release fishing, and sunrise and sunset river cruises on the lodge's own boats. Guided tours of the Falls are available. The Toa Spa offers massage treatments, and there is a fitness centre. A complimentary airport shuttle connects the lodge to Victoria Falls Airport.
