Villa Dihovo

Set in Dihovo village at the foot of Mount Pelister, Villa Dihovo is a restored stone-and-wood house built in 1928. Three guest rooms occupy the upper floor, each finished in natural wood with traditional carpets and holding one double bed, two single beds, and a private bathroom with hot water. The downstairs stone living room serves as a common area, furnished with a kitchen and refrigerator guests may use freely; a working fireplace warms the room in winter. The covered patio outside extends over an enclosed lawn planted with vegetables and fruit trees. Meals are served under the patio or at private tables on the grass in summer, cooked with produce grown on site. Brandy and wine are kept in wooden barrels; homebrewed beer is also available. The lawn holds sunbeds, a hammock, a summer kitchen, and an inbuilt oven.

Guided hikes to Mount Pelister depart from the villa; the eight-kilometre trek to Pelisterki Oci, two glacial lakes near the summit, takes four hours. You can walk the River Sapungica, which runs through the village and holds natural rock pools for swimming in summer. Mountain biking routes cross the forested slopes above Dihovo. Winter skiing on Pelister is arranged with equipment and instruction. Cultural excursions visit the ruins of ancient Herakleia, two kilometres south of Bitola, and monasteries in the surrounding district. Wireless internet is complimentary. The villa stands in the centre of Dihovo, five to ten minutes by car from Bitola.
