Villa Margherita Swakopmund

Villa Margherita occupies a tended garden plot on Daniel Tjongarero Avenue in central Swakopmund. Ten rooms are spread across four separate buildings — two stand-alone structures called the Villa and the Nest, a larger Manor, and a Cottage — so the property feels more like a small compound than a single hotel block. The kitchen is what draws non-residents as well as guests: head chef Jako van Vuuren runs a restaurant built on local produce and seasonal cooking, with greens cut daily from the property's own hydroponic garden. Breakfast and dinner are served on-site; the dining room is also available for private events on request.

Rooms range from the compact Eden, which opens directly onto the garden via a private patio, to the King suite in the Manor — two bedrooms, a private lounge with dune views, and a first-floor balcony. Several rooms interlink: the Adam and Eve connects to Eden, the King to the Queen, and Lord Nelson to Lady Hamilton in the Cottage, which suits families or two couples sharing. The Villa sleeps up to six across two en-suite units with separate entrances; both can be booked independently or together. The Nest is a ground-floor garden cottage for up to four.

An on-site spa uses Africology and Kalahari treatment lines. The property's travel desk can arrange marine cruises and Sandwich Harbour 4x4 excursions through Mola Mola Safaris.
