Virgilio Grand Hotel

The Virgilio Grand Hotel stands on the Lazio coast in Sperlonga, a few minutes on foot from the hilltop old town. The private beach is a few metres from the building — a short walk across and you are on the sand.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, climate control, a minibar, and satellite television. The on-site restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes for dinner. Two bars run through the rest of the day with light meals, hot drinks, cold drinks, and snacks. The pool terrace is fitted with sunbeds and chairs and has its own bar; a solarium is alongside.

The wellness centre has a steam bath and a hydro-jet tub. A fitness centre is also on the premises.

Sperlonga's old town sits on a headland above the bay. Its streets are narrow, the restaurants are small, and the views along the coast are wide. The hotel is a workable base for a beach stay, with the old town close enough to reach on foot for an evening out.
