Wild Dogs Lodge sits on a large garden plot on Palabana Road, about fifteen minutes from Lusaka's international airport. Four thatched chalets hold ten rooms in total, each with its own bathroom. The grounds are planted with native vegetation and the swimming pool runs eighteen metres — long enough to be useful after a flight or a dusty return from the bush.

The lodge is run by Wild Dogs Nature Safaris, a safari operator based both in Lusaka and in Germany, which means the property functions as a practical starting and finishing point for guests arriving into Zambia before heading further afield. The guides are German- and English-speaking, and the vehicles are Land Cruisers and Land Rovers with four-wheel drive. The company organises private, tailor-made itineraries and fixed-departure tours into Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area — the cross-border conservation zone that spans parts of five southern African countries.

Safari formats include lodge-based itineraries, mobile camping safaris using walk-in dome tents, and off-road expeditions. Equipment for mobile camping is supplied by the company. Guests travelling as couples, families, or groups can book on their own preferred dates rather than fitting a fixed schedule.

The lodge address is Plot 43, Palabana Road, Chongwe, Lusaka.
